EcoPower 4 Electric Bills Submitted

This just in:

(Thanks to Frank Cesario for sharing this information.)

The power companies are now installing digital power meters in all homes in the United States.  It will take 2-3 years to complete, but in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, they have already started to charge a $2.50 monthly fee for a meter that most homes do not have yet.

When this meter is installed in your home and your air conditioner starts up, the meter will see the initial spike and this will be what you will be charged for, not just your “actual” usage.  This is peak power and is how commercial customers are already being charged.  These “DEMAND METERS” will change anytime any motor, anywhere in your home starts up, and charge you the higher “spike rate” for a 15-minute time segment.

If you do not have “PowerwoRx e3” or “EcoPower4” installed in your home, you are vulnerable.  Both of these units correct the “POWER FACTOR” to 98 on all the motors in your home and make them run more efficiently.  Best of all, the digital power meter cannot see the spike; therefore you are not charged the “spike rate!”

Power companies in all states are also considering charging a penalty for not having a power factor of 90-95.  All US homes have an average power factor of only 77, unless power factor correction has been installed by the builder or homeowner.  CA and TX have been charging this fee for quite some time.  Recently, 9 more states have joined in this practice.

Brad Near Savings-Phoenix, Arizona:

Note: Because utility rates have varied from one year to the next the only meaningful finding of savings is being calculated based on KWH usage. (Kilowatt Hours)

We installed the unit in late June of 2008.

08/17/08  Brad Near Electric Bill (PDF) - Phoenix, Arizona showing an 18.6% savings in July and 35.5% savings in August and 36.0 savings in September.  After we moved out of the heat of the summer our power use reduces and the savings continued, but not as much as when the air conditioner is running.

April 2009 Electric Bill showing a reduction of KWH use, even though April is a low demand month for us in Phoenix, Arizona

Notice the SAVINGS IS EVERY MONTH in the following photos of my billings.

THIS IS THE YEAR 2009.

During the cooler time of the year in Phoenix we do run our air conditioner, as a heater.  They call it a heat pump.  We saw significant savings for January and February 2009.

Wallace Gummere Savings, Stratton, Nebraska:

I installed my PowewoRx on May 21st This  is a chart for June, July, August 2007 compared to 2008. As you can see I have saved a lot in KWH usage.  The  $61.49 the savings may not seem like much but the rate is higher this year.   Using last years  rate it  would have been $93.52 Will  keep track for the year.   Wally Gummere

Bert Lampley - North Carolina

I installed my EcoPower 4 on June 10, 2008 with the hottest June in years going full force as noted by Duke Energy here in Charlotte, NC. As you can tell, with only 20 days of protection my bill was virtually the same as '07. To date through 3 full billing cycles and with no attempt of any kind to affect results, my savings run from 14.2% to 32.3%. A conversation on these savings is easy to have with anyone

12 Month Results:  "We have just completed our first 12 months with a single PowerwoRx unit on our Sparks, Nevada home.
Ours is a modest 2,000 sq. ft. home with central AC and gas furnace and water heater. Energy Star refrigerator and dish washer, standard washer & dryer, no ceiling fans or extra appliances have been added for the past two years.  Over 12 months, our KWH reductions have averaged 18%. We've saved over $430.00 in a year! WOW!" - Scott Albrecht, Sparks, NV
